Spreadsheet entry jobs fall under the data entry category, and they are most sought after jobs for people who want to keep themselves busy while they wait for a preferred job. The reason these jobs are popular is because they require basic computer skills; and if you need to do the job from home, all you need is a computer, Internet connection and a good typing speed.

When companies have a lot of data to input into spreadsheets or a database, they will outsource the job, but often times this is a short-lived job. A spreadsheet entry job requires the worker to enter data into a spreadsheet, which is easier than using database software. Often times, the employer requires you to research information, or type data from other documents and input the data into a spreadsheet as specified by the employer.
